I was intrigued by the synopsis of this story. Being a avid Fantasy and a mediocre Sci Fi fan, of course the idea of being "frozen" for centuries was enough to get me to buy this book. What Amira Rain did with it was great. I think a few more problems with coming out of cryogenic freezing would have been in order, but this is a shifter romance, not a Sci Fi novel. I enjoyed it a lot as a shifter romance. Hopefully she'll have a series if she already hasn't started one. I kinda think she might have due to some of the references to another couple, maybe not. I'll have to look.The only problem was the introduction of a "Time Machine". This was highly implausible and too pat. Time machines have too many moral and physical consequences to just be added as a simple plot line. The implications are too broad. The way it was added as a deux machina-and a "too good to be true" solution with the 'alternative universe'. I would have taken a half point off if possible.
Too bad the book cover picture is sort of not the best. Anyway, this was a great shifter romance with a different twist.

I'm really getting into these shifter books. I really like it when the two main characters interact more, do things, plot and talk or fight or something. I don't like 3 pages of her thinking how she hates him. We need more action!
I have quickly become a fan of this author and of the melted series. I get introduced to new authors like this through the simply shifters newsletter. This book is about a woman who had been thawed to save the world or the later date because fertile women were rare.
I received this as ARC for my honest review. This was a great read, This offered a new take on shifter stories. There is a shortage of women, two women a thawed and they are used to have babies for the lion pride alpha( Trevor and Savannah). This books has plot twist and romance all rolled up in one good book.
This book was not like a lot of shifter stories because no one changed into an animal but the characters changed and became great people because of the love and compassion of an animal lover and rescuer. Veronica found a dear friend and Trevor dropped the walls around his heart. This was a great story with depth and futuristic qualities.
Savannah was too annoying... I was irritated with her most of the book... I liked Trevor male, dominated ways and he was the typical male alpha hero... The book is an ok read, just a bit frustrated with how naive the heroine was....
I received this book as an ARC.This was a new take on shifters and combined shifters and cryogenis to get the perfect plot. It was funny how
Trevor went into his plans thinking that he wanted two women to give birth to his babies and watching how things unfolded. Savannah was my favorite character out of the whole cast line . She was very strong and went after what she believed was right whether or not she was following rules. It was a great story with a bit of a twist but I would recommend this to anyone who loves shifters.
Another interesting book in the melted series. This book has likable characters...after Trevor gets his head on straight. I enjoyed that while this book starts with the same concept of a woman being thawed for procreation purposes, the rest of the story finds its own path. I look forward to enjoying more of the series.
